The name Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. is synonymous with being an American Leader and Hero! Being the first Black Air Force General, leading the Tuskegee Airmen flight squadron and standing up to the military establishment in advancing the cause of Black soldiers.
When Benjamin, Jr. was 13 years old, he attended a barnstorming exhibition at Bolling Field in Washington, D.C. . A pilot offered him the opportunity to accompany him on a ride in his plane. Benjamin enjoyed it so much that he became determined to pilot a plane himself one day and the rest lead to a historical career.
His assignments around the world became almost too numerous to list.
