Rochester’s Own Desi is back and has always had a passion for music. His father Charles Felton had a band called Living Rough but sadly passed at a tender age in 2004. Desi continues his father’s legacy and always remember his last words “Never Stop Doing Music”. However, It was in 2009 when street life took over the young artist and fell into a lot of trouble with the law.
In late 2009, Desi was sentenced to 7 years in prison for his involvement in a shooting. While incarcerated, His guilt and memories of his father weighed heavy on him. It was a moment that changed his life forever. Desi was released on parole in 2015, He went back out in the streets as a new man with a new perspective in life. Desi has been focused on the music, studying the greats, and learning the industry. He dropped his first mixtape since being incarcerated in Late 2015 called “Time Iz Money” which opened the doors for opportunities that led him to open up for acts like Dipset, Juicy J, Troy Ave, and Ja Rule.
Desi is also an entrepreneur with two clothing lines “Time Iz Money” and “Baby Time”. Desi’s stage name also changed after incarceration dubbed “Desi Back”. He is also working on a new mixtape “Time Iz Money II” which is set to be released sometime this year. In early 2018, Desi Back released a single amassing over 10,000 streams in 3 days.
