Don’t let “Mih-Ty” pass under the radar.

“These Days” has Jeremih‘ pawprints all over it, of all the songs on his collaborative MIH-TY project with Uncle Dolla $ign. The record occupying the midsection of the LP is deliberately “generalized.” The notion of authenticity is up there with how much social media is good for your health. But in all honesty, Jeremih always seemed to me, a bit detached from the moving current. The entire “Mih-Ty” comes to us after a year of teasing and non-lethal misfires, for Jeremih is more than willing to weather the storm, his alleged DIVA practices aside. His counterpart Ty Dolla $ign has spent the better part of a year immersed in a goopy monogamous setting, he fails to accurately report. On “These Days” the message is clear from both men: “Don’t let the Breitling fool you!”   — HOT NEW HIP-HOP
