Six years after her debut album and legal struggles with her former home label, Rita Ora is finally making her pop princess presence heard with the release of  Phoenix, her first album to officially debut in North America.

The 27-year-old’s sophomore, 12-track project includes her Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX-assisted single, “Girls,” a collaboration track with the late Swedish DJ/producer Avicii, “Lonely Together,”  and “For You (Fifty Shades Freed),” featuring Liam Payne.

Phoenix displays the best of Rita’s musical ability with her husky mezzo voice over electropop driven songs about having fun, self-confidence, loss, and love with the help of prominent dance-pop producers like Alesso, Steve Mac, and Stargate.

Since the overseas release of Ora, the singer-songwriter landed a recurring role in the Fifty Shades film series, joined Iggy Azalea at the No. 3 slot of a Billboard chart for “Black Widow” and signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records UK.

In an interview with Nylon, the actress shared that despite the upsetting controversy around her track, “Girls” and the obstacles she encountered of the years, she hopes this project serves as a career renewal. “I wanted this album to really represent the great rebirth of me coming into my own as a 27-year-old woman.”
