If you’ve been listening to 1055 The Beat during this holiday season you may have heard us talk about supporting 12 families and a local adoption agency for Christmas. We requested our listeners to submit letters explaining their dire needs for Christmas and set out to support Rochester families for the holiday.
While it was very difficult to select just 12 families out of the dozens of submissions, we are proud that we were able to make a memorable experience for deserving children and families that are less fortunate. This year, our team decided to follow a common theme of supporting children and families that expressed tragic incidents that caused harm or death to their families.
In addition to supporting 12 different families, we gifted Children Awaiting Parents (CAP), Incorporated, a national, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding adoptive homes for America’s waiting children with a variety of Christmas gifts for seventeen children and teenagers who have likely not experienced a joyous Christmas since they are without families.
The Beat 1055 will continue to identify ways to support our listeners throughout the 2019 calendar year through creative, for-impact promotions beyond just the holidays. While we wish we could have helped all of our listeners that submitted request, we certainly will not forget about those we were not able to select and look forward to determining ways to continue to help our listeners throughout the new year.
From our heart BEAT to yours, we ask that join us in keeping these families in your thoughts and prayers.
Wishing the Rochester community a very Merry Christmas.
