The best of downtown was highlighted at a special event Thursday.
The 2019 Downtown Definitely Awards Luncheon was held at the Holiday Inn Downtown.
Awards included best downtown living space, workspace, downtown company, public sector project and best downtown dog.
“We’ve got a downtown that’s exploding with projects, a lot of new things – festivals, Roc the Riverway, the Inner Loop fill-in projects – got a lot of them under construction,” said Heidi Zimmer-Meyer of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation. “And the deal is, it’s time to step back and celebrate.”
This year’s event also included the first-ever Larry Glazer Award, which honors the late developer. This year’s award went to Nelson Leenhouts.
