With new tax cuts and jobs act, there are a lot of changes for everyone filing their tax returns. That’s why the city of Rochester and Monroe County have teamed up to help low-income families through the CASH program.
More than 300 trained tax preparers will be on hand at two locations in Rochester to help people complete their tax returns for free.
Every Tuesday through April 9, they’ll be available at the city’s Business and Community Services Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s located at 30 North Fitzhugh Street. Additionally, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. help will be available at the Central Library in downtown.
The services are offered for households that earn up to $66,000.
The tax deadline is April 15.
